Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef
The couple, who have 9-year-old twin sons named Matteo and Valentino. They started dating in 2016 and became engaged by November that year.
The singer announced his engagement to the artist during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November 2016. “I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box,” he told the host about the moment he proposed. He then said, “I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, ‘Will you marry me?’ I said, ‘I got you something!'”
RuPaul Charles & Georges LeBar
RuPaul has never been one to be open about his love life. But after 23 years of dating his boyfriend Georges LeBar, he announced on Hollywood Today Live that they had married. “He’s a great guy, but he doesn’t care about show business at all,” he said, explaining why the two keep their relationship relatively private.
The pair met at now-closed New York City club Limelight in 1994 on LeBar’s birthday. And have been together ever since. In 2013 special of “Oprah: Where Are They Now?,” RuPaul spoke about his relationship with LeBar. “He is devoted to me, I am devoted to him,” he said. “And that’s the end of the story.”
Elton John & David Furnish
John met Furnish, 15 years his junior, in October 1993. John was sober for three years following more than a decade of substance abuse. The singer was learning to live life without drugs or alcohol, residing mainly at his home in Atlanta.
That initial attraction was mutual, with Furnish returning to John’s home the very next evening for a more relaxed one-on-one dinner of Chinese takeout.
It was during an at-home dinner party with friends and family in May 2005 that John proposed to Furnish, with the couple entering into a civil partnership on December 21 the same year. When same-sex marriage became legal in Britain in 2014, the couple converted their partnership into a marriage on the same date, December 21.
Sarah Paulson & Holland Taylor
Rumours of Paulson and Taylor’s relationship began spreading in December 2015, and Paulson noted that the interest and attention that their relationship received was “surreal.”
Paulson, 41, and Taylor, 73 first met at a dinner party about 10 years ago, and Paulson revealed that she thought that Taylor was “probably the most exquisitely beautiful woman I’d ever seen.” After running into each other a few years later, the couple began following each other on Twitter and exchanging direct messages.
The ‘American Crime Story’ star also cited her “complicated home life” as part of the reason she is more comfortable being around people who are older than she is.
Samira Wiley & Lauren Morelli
The couple was together for three years before they got engaged. They went on holiday to Palm Springs and Morelli surprised Wiley with a proposal. And after one year the couple got married on the same Palm Springs.
Their romance started on the sets of ‘Orange Is The New Black’.
“I found a ring, they shipped it to me,” Morelli told Out Magazine about their engagement. “I was so nervous and terrified she knew it was coming, but she was so shocked that I couldn’t get her to stop crying.”
