Logan Paul Decides To “GO GAY” For A Month

There is reason to believe that Logan Paul has made it his resolution to prove himself as the biggest douche-bag every year. Only last year, one of Youtube’s biggest stars, Logan, made a video featuring himself at Japan’s Suicide Forest. In this absolutely disgusting video, Paul was seen giggling on camera alongside the body of a male suicide victim. Post this, Youtube decided to cut-off all ties with him and took his ability to earn money through his videos.

No stranger to controversy, Logan made headlines once again this year when he decided to “go gay” for a month. On his podcast called “Impaulsive”, Logan spoke about his resolutions for each month of the new year. This ridiculous list included plans to have a “sober, vegan” January and a “Fatal February.” However, the worst of the lot was his proposal of a “Male-only March.” “It’s male-only March. We’re going to attempt to go gay for just one month,” Paul explained.

Logan’s sheer lack of respect for the LGBT community resulted in him receiving a lot of backlash from the online community. With countless LGBT people around the world still fighting for their rights, Logan’s comments shows that he clearly doesn’t take the threat of homophobia seriously. An LGBT rights non profit organisation called GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) wrote “That’s not how it works, @LoganPaul.”

Logan even replied to their tweet apologising and saying “Very poor choice of words… my fault. Let’s get together and talk about it on my podcast next week?” However, people were quick to respond saying that his apology was just a sad publicity stunt. Social media accused him of trying to make money off of his poor comments.

It is a new year but the same old Logan Paul. It is a shame that the Youtuber has still not learned from his past mistakes and continues to make fun of sensitive topics. It is clear that he thinks that being gay is just a choice and there is no harm in being so thick-skinned towards a community that has fought long and hard for their rights. With the world trying to be more inclusive, there still exist people like Logan Paul.
