James Charles ‘Went To A Dark Place’ After Tati Westbrook Video
James Charles has refused to meet Tati Westbrook after falling into a “dark place” following her allegations that he sexually manipulated straight men. The 19-year-old make-up artist recently addressed claims made by Tati Westbrook in her ‘Bye Sister’ video in one of his videos.
James has denied the harassment allegations made by former mentor Tati Westbrook in the pair’s viral feud. Furthermore, the public falling-out with Westbrooks has lost him millions of social media followers.

Published on Saturday (May 18) evening, James Charles addressed the with fellow YouTuber Tati Westbrook in a video titled ‘No More Lies’.
During the 41-minutes video, Charles spoke about the events that have taken place in his life. Further on, he expressed how online response to these events have affected his life.

“This whole thing has been really difficult for me because throughout the past three weeks all I’ve asked for was communication. I tried hard to get that but I didn’t, so I declined the meetings.”
He went on: “The last few weeks of my life has literally been the most painful I’ve had to deal with. My head and brain, for a hot minute, went to a place so dark that I didn’t think I was going to come back from. Right now I need time and space to get my head back.”
James said a 19-year-old waiter from Seattle had told him he was bisexual and there were no expectations during the date they had together.
“First of all, I’m a 19-year-old virgin. I talk about boys quite a lot on my social media networks,” he said.
“Clearly, at this point, it’s not acceptable anymore… just thought I’d bring it up, put it out into the universe, I don’t really get a lot of action.”
‘Littered with so many lies and half-truth’
Charles’ video comes days after Tati asked fans to bring the online ‘hate to an end’. His video has around 18 million views to date.
But Westbrook tweeted she was “disappointed” to see the video littered with “so many lies and half-truths”.
BARRY MANILOW: ‘COMING OUT WOULD HAVE KILLED MY CAREER’
But in a lengthy note on Twitter, she told fans she wanted to put the matter to rest.
“In my original video, I felt the need to publicly break up with James with a warning call loud enough for him to hear,” she wrote.
“I was attempting to explain my upset and concerns so that everyone would understand my position and end the speculation that it was all over vitamins.”
“I hope that our community is somehow strengthened from all this madness and we will all strive to hold ourselves and each other to a higher standard.”
